The first Ninja Gaiden to be released since Tomonobu Itagaki’s departure from Team Ninja and Tecmo in 2008, Ninja Gaiden 3 , is set for release in March of next year, Joystiq reports.
Ninja Gaiden 3 will first release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in March, followed by a Wii U release.. well, whenever that console comes out. Team Ninja has suggested that when the Wii U does come out, Ninja Gaiden 3 will be a launch title for the console.
With Ninja Gaiden 2 , Itagaki and Team Ninja cranked up the violence to 11, allowing you to dismember body parts in s symphony of blood and severed body parts. The dismemberment will be taken out in Ninja Gaiden 3 , the developers informed fans earlier this year, but the lack of flying body parts will be more than made up for in an excess of blood.
The series also has a bit of a reputation for being controller-smashingly difficult, so it will be interesting to see how Team Ninja handles that without Itagaki’s vision driving development.
