Twilight fans are eagerly awaiting Bella and Edward’s fictional wedding, but before the new movie comes out, fans can celebrate the nuptials of Twiligtht beauty Nikki Reed and her new husband, American Idol alum, Paul McDonald.
US Weekly reports that Reed and McDonald got married last night at a private ranch in Malibu, California in front of about 100 guests.
McDonald said:
“We couldn’t be happier… [We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come.”
Reed and McDonald’s courtship was relatively short. The Inquisitr reported in June that the couple had gotten engaged after just two months of dating.
Reed said at the time:
“I love him and I don’t care. I’ve never met anyone like him. I’ve never met anyone who has such a good solid heart and comes from such a good solid family and is just a genuine person. We have the exact same sense of humor. I’ve never laughed so much with anyone as I do with him.”
McDonald said:
“I haven’t ever actually watched any of her movies. I don’t know too much of her career at all, but the person she is is super cool. “We fit each other; when you know, you know, and she’s the one.”
Access Hollywood reports that Reed’s longtime friend and “Spy Kids” star Alexa Vega served as the maid of honor. McDonald and his band, Grand Magnolias, treated guests to a surprise performance.
