NFL rumors have been swirling around Mackenzy Bernadeau. With the Dallas Cowboys having enviable depth on the offensive line, there is no longer a place for the Bentley Falcons star. Fortunately for Bernadeau, he is set to hit free agency. A new home in the National Football League is on his radar. According to ESPN, Bernadeau is set to sign a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars so that he can compete for a starting job.
It’s no secret that the Dallas Cowboys have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. They were so good that DeMarco Murray was able to beat the single season franchise rushing record held by the legendary Emmitt Smith. Travis Frederick, Zack Martin and Tyron Smith are considered among the best at their respective positions. La’el Collins and Doug Free are above average at their positions, with the former potentially surging towards the top of the ranking at left guard soon.
Earlier in the week, the Dallas Cowboys decided to put a second round tender on Ronald Leary. The team knew that there would be interest in him from other NFL teams, so they took the precaution to ensure that they receive compensation if does end up leaving. The Cowboys wanted to keep Leary around because they know that he can be a starter in the National Football League and might some day replace Doug Free in the starting lineup.
La’el Collins has too much talent and potential to remain a guard for the rest of his NFL career. Whenever the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff deem him ready to play tackle, Doug Free will be replaced. Tyron Smith is considered to be the best left tackle in the National Football League. Smith and Collins would be one of the most formidable tandems. They can carry the Cowboys for much of the next decade.
Mackenzy Bernadeau reportedly would have loved to have stayed with the Dallas Cowboys for the rest of his NFL career. Since he wanted to be on the field, the Jacksonville Jaguars were the better option.
