NFL rumors have been swirling around Joey Bosa. The talented Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end is said to be coveted by several teams in the National Football League. One of those teams is the Dallas Cowboys, who desperately need an upgrade on the defensive line because their pass rush is essentially non existent. According to NFL.com, the Cowboys are said to no longer be interested in Bosa. That has led to speculation in regards to the reasoning behind that.
It made all the sense in the world that the Dallas Cowboys would show interest in Joey Bosa. The team took gambles on Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory. Neither one of them rewarded the Cowboys. Hardy routinely caused headaches for Jason Garrett and the coaching staff. Gregory, on the other hand, is currently facing a four game suspension because he has repeated failed drug tests. Some believe that Gregory might be out of the NFL soon.
Even if the Dallas Cowboys pass on Joey Bosa, he’s going to be just fine. The belief is that he’s unlikely to drop out of the first ten selections in the NFL Draft. The Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are both said to be quite interested in Bosa. The 6’6?, 275 pound defensive end can fill in roster spots for both teams.
Another reason why the Dallas Cowboys might be turning away from Joey Bosa is the fact that they’re heavily interested in Myles Jack. The former UCLA Bruins linebacker is one of the most versatile players in the upcoming NFL Draft. Not only can he play multiple positions on the defensive side of the ball, he can also play running back if needed. The only concern with Jack is that he is coming off of a torn ACL injury.
Joey Bosa could have made himself a whole bunch of money by becoming the star pass rusher that the Dallas Cowboys have desperately needed. Instead, the team will more than likely go with someone else in the upcoming NFL Draft. That lucky person will get the chance to become the darling for America’s Team.
