Activision has been keeping relatively quiet about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 over the past month, but now that the highly anticipated title is nearing release – that, and Gamescom is coming up – Activision is ready to show off some more spec ops mode gameplay.
Specifically, the video shows off the co-op survival mode which, as the name suggests, has you and your pals attempting to survive wave after wave of baddies. In other words, the video shows off Modern Warfare 3 ‘s interpretation of Horde mode.
It’s not multiplayer footage – we’ll have to wait until Call of Duty XP on September 2 to see that – but it’s still a fun video that has me interested in trying out the mode for myself. I’ve played Horde gametypes across several games to death at this point, but Modern Warfare 3 ‘s looks interesting enough to at least give a spin.
