NeNe Leakes is returning to Bravo for the upcoming 10th season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and reportedly being paid extremely well for doing so.
Just one day after the reality star turned actress appeared on Twitter to announce her return to the Bravo TV series, a report has surfaced which has revealed that Leakes has just received the “most lucrative deal” in the history of the network.
On June 15, Radar Online revealed that NeNe Leakes was allegedly involved in a three-month negotiation with Bravo, which resulted in a payday of more than $2 million for appearing on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta , plus several perks.
As the outlet revealed, NeNe Leakes would be cashing in on a seven-figure payday from Bravo in addition to having a say when it comes to when she will film. According to Radar Online, NeNe Leakes’ contract with the network includes a most favored nations clause that allows her to receive special treatment when it comes to scheduling filming around her personal and business schedule.
NeNe Leakes will also be able to continue to appear on the E! Network’s Fashion Police and promote her clothing line for HSN. In fact, the reality star and actress will be able to use The Real Housewives of Atlanta to promote her outside business ventures, including her SWAGG Boutique.
The Radar Online insider went on to reveal that filming began on The Real Housewives of Atlanta this week and will include NeNe Leakes’ role as the main storyline.
“The theme for this season is ‘back to basics’ and the focus is representing real women with real relationships and friendships. The network reiterated to Nene that the viewers are vested in her personal life and career, and that her participation would mutually increase viewership and serve as platform for her expanding brand,” the source explained.
NeNe Leakes’ net worth is sure to go up in a major way, not that she needs the month. As the Gazette Review reported two months ago, Leakes was reportedly worth $12 million before signing on to appear on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 is expected to air sometime later this year on Bravo TV. Also included in the show in full-time positions are Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, and Sheree Whitfield. Meanwhile, Williams’ friend Shamea Morton and Kim Zolciak will make guest appearances.
