The New York Knicks already made a big splash this summer by trading for Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls. They are looking to continue that momentum going into free agency. The Knicks currently have weak spots at the shooting guard and center positions. Team president Phil Jackson has his eye on a couple of players. According to ESPN, the Knicks are currently the strong favorites to sign Joakim Noah .

The Chicago Bulls selected Joakim Noah with the ninth overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He has spent his entire career with the Bulls. Noah has been the vocal leader of the team. In the fall of 2010, the Bulls gave Noah a five-year deal worth $60 million.

Joakim Noah has been incredible for the Chicago Bulls. In the 2013-2014 season, Noah had an amazing year. He averaged 12.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. Noah was selected to All Star game, won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year and was voted on to the All NBA First Team and All NBA Defensive First Team.

Last year, Joakim Noah suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. After he went down, it was easy to see how valuable he was to the Chicago Bulls. They ended up missing the NBA Playoffs for the first time in eight years. The team looked lost at times without one of their leaders.

Joakim Noah is an unrestricted free agent this summer. He will be one of the most sought out centers in free agency. Several teams have already shown interest in signing the former Florida Gators star.

The New York Knicks are eager to land a center during free agency. They made that position a priority after trading away Robin Lopez. He was sent to the Chicago Bulls in the trade for Derrick Rose.

Joakim Noah is expected to meet with the New York Knicks at the beginning of free agency. According to New York Daily News, all signs points toNoah signing with the Knicks this offseason. He has a strong desire to play in his hometown.

The dream of bringing Kevin Durant to the New York Knicks seems to be a long shot. If the Knicks were to sign Joakim Noah, he would most likely take up most of their cap space. Right now, it is unclear if Durant will give the Knicks a face to face meeting.

According to The Chicago Tribune, the New York Knicks are expected to sign Joakim Noah . They believe his starting salary will be around $18 million. Noah could be the perfect fit for the Knicks. He is one of the best passing big men in the NBA.

Joakim Noah will reunite with Derrick Rose if he decides to sign with the New York Knicks. They played together with the Chicago Bulls for several years. They are good friends. Rose said in his press conference with the Knicks that he wants Noah to come join him in New York.

The addition of Joakim Noah would mean the New York Knicks are adding a veteran leader to their team. Carmelo Anthony has been known to play better when he doesn’t have to be the vocal leader. Noah would able to step into the leadership role. Carmelo would be able to just lead by example.

The New York Knicks signing Joakim Noah would be a sign that they are trying to compete for an NBA Championship now. The All Star is coming off an injury this past season. The Knicks are hoping that he can return to form and help them compete for a title.
