NASA Discovers Han Solo Preserved In Carbonite On Mercury

Han Solo has been discovered in frozen carbonite state on the planet Mercury. NASA officials recently announced their unique and highly improbable finding.

The photo of Han Solo frozen in carbonite was posted by the Messenger spacecraft division of NASA.

The group notes that the formation in the terrain of the Caloris basin is “in the shape of a certain carbonite-encased smuggler who can make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.”

On the NASA website officials writes:

“If there are two things you should remember, it’s not to cross a Hutt, and that Mercury’s surface can throw up all kinds of surprises.”

Mercury’s surface was shaped by red-hot magma that was injected during the formation of the Caloris basin.

NASA scientists believe the body shape may be remnants of what was there before the formation of the basin.

NASA’s messenger spacecraft is the first to fly so close to our own sun. In its first two years of operation the NASA Messenger spacecraft has taken and sent back more than 150,000 images. The project is also sending various other readings back to NASA scientists for data analysis.

Okay so maybe that isn’t really Han Solo trapped in carbonite on Mercury but until proven otherwise that’s my story and I have official NASA statements to back it up.

NASA loves to reach out to fans and future fans in fun and unique ways. Obviously their scientists know that the formation is not really Han Solo in carbonite but if it gets kids and Star Wars fans interested in real science instead of fiction its a winner in this writers book.
