Robin Williams dressing up as an old lady is a hilarious premise that would make a great family movie…. Or, maybe, it’s a frightening idea that would have made a better horror film.

The trailer for “Mrs. Doubtfire,” the classic 1993 movie about a man who has to play nanny in order to spend more time with his kids, has been recut into an awesome horror movie.

Peter Javidpour , who created the trailer, sums up the plot of the new movie saying:

“An unemployed actor undergoes a drastic transformation in a twisted attempt to regain the trust of his estranged family.”

The synopsis for the original movie reads:

“After a bitter divorce, an actor disguises himself as a female housekeeper to spend secret time with his children held in custody by his Ex.”

Javidpour uses footage from the original movie but underscores with chilling music and a few horror effects. And surprisingly, it works really well.

Robin Williams showed that he could play the bad guy in movies like One Hour Photo and Insomniac b ut who knew that the line between funnyman Robin Williams and psychopath Robin Williams was so thin?

Here’s a video for the “Mrs. Doubtfire” horror movie.
