Sarah Maguire, 39, of Bogside, Derry in Northern Ireland, says that she does not blame anyone involved in the death of her six-year-old son, Donny Maguire, who was found dead in the middle of the street after a hit-and-run, she blames herself for letting him go outside, according to the Mirror .
At around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sarah stated that moments after her son left the family home, she heard a commotion outside. When Sarah went to see what was happening, she made a shocking discovery.
There were neighbors surrounding her youngest child, who lay unconscious in the street from an apparent hit-and-run. Several people were working diligently to revive Donny, but the mother of three claims that as she approached her son, she knew there was nothing anyone could do to save him.
His appearance had changed. She said Donny no longer looked like her jovial and energetic son. He reportedly suffered serious head injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
The boy who was once full of life now lay motionless on the street. Sarah believes that it was her mother’s intuition that made her realize her son was slipping away.

After emergency medical services arrived at the scene, Donny was transported to Altnagelvin Hospital where he died moments after his arrival.
Sarah was devastated after Donny had been killed in a hit-and-run, and she couldn’t comprehend how she could lose her son all in a moment. She blamed herself, but simultaneously, she felt as though no one was to blame. She doesn’t believe that anyone would leave their home with the intentions of striking and killing a child with their vehicle.
Circumstances surrounding Donny’s death is unknown, but police officials are now looking for witnesses in hopes of finding out who struck and killed Donny.
Sarah, however, believes that the investigation will be in vain. She went on to say that even if police officials find the person responsible for taking Donny’s life, it won’t bring him back.
Donny’s siblings, Saoirse, eight, and Kealan, 11, are deeply saddened after losing their brother in a hit-and-run , Sarah says.
