Mitt Romney Attacked In Spanish Speaking Ad [Video]

Latino voters are being warned about Mitt Romney in a new Spanish-speaking ad that focuses on the Presidential hopefuls economically challenged choice of words. Unlike many Democrat based ads that focus on immigration reform the spanish speaking ad instead focused on economic issues faced by Latino voters.

Created by the Labor organization SEIU and Priorities USA, an Obama backing super PAC, the ad highlights some perennial Romney favorites including “I like being able to fire people” and “I’m also unemployed.”

That second statement has seemed to anger most voters as Romney continues to collect millions of dollars from Bain Capital on an annual basis despite his “unemployed” status.

The $4 million Spanish-language ad campaign will run all summer throughout Colorado, Florida and Nevada.

In the video ad a Latin voter says:

“When you really are out of work, you are worried, and you don’t want to laugh or make fun of anybody.”

An SEIU rep tells Politico

“When Latinos hear Romney, in his own words, they really know what’s going on and what he is saying. They know what he means. And what it would mean for their families if he were to be elected president.”

Here is the official SEIU attack ad:

There will always be the argument that Romney’s words, especially his “I like to fire people” comment have been taken out of context, however voters en masse tend to ignore the “factual basis” of comments and focus on soundbites, for which Mitt Romney is the master of screw-ups.
