Miranda Lambert is known primarily as a country music superstar by fans. But to her pets, this famous crooner is beloved in her role of human mommy. Now Lambert has added two more dogs to her brood of fur babies by adopting two Pyrenees, reported Taste of Country .
The new pups are named Thelma and Louise in honor of the 25th anniversary of the movie starring Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon. With seven dogs total, Miranda emphasized that her new fur babies are rescue dogs.
“Thanks to the @muttnationfoundation team they are safe and sound at their new forever home!!! I’m in love,” posted the country singer.
And Lambert’s hashtags reveal her views on rescuing pets, ranging from “love a shelter pet” to “they rescued me.” She also revealed that the new dogs watch over her mini horses.

Miranda’s dogs come from either her own MuttNation Foundation or were fortunate strays that she discovered. But Lambert’s life hasn’t totally gone to the dogs.
After struggling to find herself again following her highly publicized divorce from Blake Shelton, Miranda has immersed herself in her music. Fans can look forward to her Keeper of the Flame Tour with Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore, and Lambert also will participate in some shows on Kenny Chesney’s Spread the Love Tour.
Her dogs helped her publicize the tour.
While Lambert’s ex-husband, Blake, has moved on to dating Gwen Stefani, Miranda has found her own new romance.
The country singer and her boyfriend, Anderson East, have been dating since December, just five months after she and Shelton revealed their split, reported People .

The lovebirds have performed together, flaunted their romance on the red carpet for the first time at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas, and been spotted kissing and cuddling off stage.

As for when they’ll take it to the next step? Miranda is dreaming of a summer wedding. And there’s just one problem with that vision. Gwen also is planning a summer wedding, and they both want the same wedding day, according to an insider cited by Hollywood Life .
For mutual friends of both Miranda and Blake, that wedding day duel could become a challenge. Will Lambert, 32, concede to her 39-year-old ex-husband and figure out a different ceremony date with Anderson, 27? Or will Miranda get tough when it comes to battling Stefani, 46, both of whom want to stage their country-style ceremonies on July 4?
“This is Gwen’s biggest nightmare,” revealed the insider. “She will be livid if Miranda sends out invites for the Fourth.”
And while the 46-year-old has no desire to have someone else steal the spotlight, she especially doesn’t want to have to share it with Lambert, claims the source. In contrast, Miranda views it as a competition for the best ceremony, and she’s determined to win.
“[Miranda] thinks it would be a hoot if they both got married on the same day. She is competitive by nature. She guarantees her nuptials will be a hell of a lot more fun.”
One area where they don’t have to compete, and that’s where the wedding is held. Lambert wants to have her wedding in either Nashville or Texas, while Stefani prefers Oklahoma.
As for whether Gwen is so determined that she’ll battle with Miranda? That fight won’t happen, according to the insider, who revealed that Stefani does not want to get involved in a war with Lambert.
“If she feels the gauntlet needs to be thrown down, she will do it,” added the source.
