As news of Miranda Lambert’s new romance with Anderson East is confirmed, rumors have begun to swirl, claiming Miranda Lambert’s refusal to have children with her former husband, Blake Shelton, was what ultimately led to the end of their marriage.
In July 2015, after just four years of marriage, Miranda Lambert’s then-husband, Shelton, filed for divorce, and months later, he debuted his relationship with Gwen Stefani. However, prior to his new romance, he and Miranda Lambert faced rumors regarding what led to the end of their relationship, and now, another rumor has surfaced.

According to a Hollywood Life report on January 13, Miranda Lambert’s failure to start a family with her former husband led to his decision to file for divorce . A source told the site that Shelton has always wanted to have children, so Miranda Lambert and her alleged disinterest in kids was a deal breaker.
Also noted in the report was the idea of Miranda Lambert’s ex starting a family with his new girlfriend, although there has been no official confirmation of any such thing.

Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert continues to enjoy her new relationship with Anderson East, an R&B singer from Alabama, who enjoys hunting as much as she does. News of Miranda Lambert’s boyfriend came at the end of last month, and was shared by Us Weekly . At the time, the magazine claimed the two had been dating for about one month.
“They are really enjoying each other’s company,” a source close to Miranda Lambert explained, revealing the two had plans to ring in the New Year together.
As the magazine noted, East was first known in Nashville as a session musician and engineer, and appeared to be the “perfect rebound” for 32-year-old Miranda Lambert.
“Miranda Lambert couldn’t have picked a better dude to have fun with. Anderson is the coolest guy.”
Following the report, Miranda Lambert and East made their relationship official with an Instagram photo of the two of them. Then, earlier this week, Miranda Lambert shared a second post about East, which included a video of pigs. Although the couple has yet to step out with one another publicly, as Miranda Lambert’s ex is doing regularly with Stefani, they are making their relationship clear on social media.
As for Miranda Lambert’s feelings towards Stefani, a source recently confirmed there is no bad blood between the two women.
“Gwen and [Miranda Lambert] are actually big fans of each others’ music and respect each other as artists. Miranda has always thought very highly of Gwen and thinks she is an extremely talented artist,” a source told E! News earlier this month.
And Stefani shared the same sentiments.
“Gwen thinks very highly of [Miranda Lambert] and really likes her music,” the insider revealed. “Gwen thinks it’s great that Miranda is dating and in a happy place! Gwen is not the kind of women to be catty at all, and she avoids drama at all accounts.”
As Miranda Lambert gets acquainted with her new love life, she is also preparing for a major career event: an upcoming tour. In March, Miranda Lambert, along with fellow country singers Sam Hunt and Kenny Chesney, will embark on a worldwide tour, which is scheduled to take place in a number of countries, including England and Ireland.
No word yet on whether or not Miranda Lambert’s new boyfriend will join her during any of her shows.
