The Philadelphia Eagles will finish out today’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with rookie quarterback Nick Foles taking the snaps. Michael Vick suffered a concussion during the second quarter and will not return to the field.

According to NFL.com , Vick was taken into the locker room with 7:41 left in the second quarter. The Eagles’ QB was evaluated by team doctors and will not return to the field tonight. The injury also puts Vick’s participation in next weeks game into question.

According to ESPN , Nick Foles will be calling the plays for the Eagles for the rest of the games and the Eagles are hoping that he doesn’t get hurt. Third string quarterback Trent Edwards is currently inactive and wide receiver Jason Avant, who also serves as the team’s emergency 4th string QB, is also out with a concussion.

Foles got a lot of people talking during the pre-season and several Eagles fans have been eager to see him take the field. Vick has been under constant pressure this season and with the Eagles at 3-5 Foles could prove tonight that he deserves to be the starter.

Do you think the Eagles should sit Michael Vick?
