A marine and his bride decided to pray before tying the knot this past weekend, and a picture of the special moment that they shared together has gone viral. According to Today, photographer Dwayne Schmidt snapped one particular photo that has made complete strangers become emotional. Interestingly enough, Schmidt almost didn’t make it to the couple’s wedding — he underwent emergency surgery for a kidney stone just days before he was scheduled to shoot the Earwood nuptials.
It’s unknown if another photographer would have captured that magical moment, and many are giving Mr. Schmidt props for his fine work. Since the picture was posted online this weekend, thousands of people have viewed it.

U.S. Marine Cpl. Caleb Earwood and his bride, Maggie, were holding hands around a corner as Caleb prayed out loud. His words brought his wife-to-be to tears, and her emotion, though in still form, is beyond real. The marine was dressed in his uniform with his hat resting on his knee, and his bride was in her wedding dress with her hand covering her mouth as she cried.
“When I first grabbed his hand, he was shaking really bad, so I knew he was really nervous. It relieved me to know the person I was getting ready to marry felt the same way about God,” said Maggie.
“I prayed to God for my beautiful and intelligent wife that he blessed me with and the amazing family I was marrying into,” explained the 21-year-old groom.
As the marine and his bride pray together, they share one of the sweetest, most sincere moments you could ever imagine. And the reaction on social media has reflected just that.

According to Us Magazine, the couple says that they are thankful to have touched so many lives.
“We’re thankful that our picture is able to bless so many people and touch that many hearts,” said Caleb.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Caleb and Maggie are currently on their honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, at Dollywood. They will soon be heading home to Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where Caleb is based.
