Man of Steel star Russell Crowe isn’t at all opposed to doing a prequel.

Since Jor-El’s story pretty much ends when Zack Snyder’s reboot is just getting started, moviegoers don’t get to spend a lot of time with the character.

According to Coming Soon , apparently there’s a lot of interest in a Man of Steel prequel. Should Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. decide to pursue such a venture, they won’t have to convince Crowe that it’s a good idea. The actor said he’s basically ready to go.

“A lot of you are asking about a Krypton prequel, if that’s something you feel strongly about let Legendary Pictures know your thoughts,” the actor said in response to a Man of Steel question on Twitter .

If you’re thinking about asking Russell Crowe a similar question, then you might want to seriously reconsider your decision. The guy is clearly getting a little tired of talking about a possible Man of Steel prequel.

“Just getting sick of reading the same question mate. However, if it came up, I’d give the tights another go,” Crowe continued. In short, stop asking him about it.

Although Man of Steel seemed to divide audiences right down the middle, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures still made a substantial amount of money from Snyder’s version of Superman. A prequel could be a possibility.

At last check, the numbers at Box Office Mojo show that Man of Steel has amassed an impressive $263 million in North America alone. Worldwide, the movie is quickly closing in on $550 million.

While it’s unclear if Warner and Legendary will pursue a Krypton-based prequel, the studio and the production company are reportedly interested in getting Man of Steel 2 up and running as soon as possible. The Inquisitr previously reported that Warner would like to see the follow-up hit theaters as early as 2014. Henry Cavill better keep hitting the gym just in case.
