A Louisiana police captain, who has had enough of a local gang terrorizing the community, sent a warning message to the “animals” with “sideways guns” in a now viral video.

Captain Clay Higgins stood alongside his fellow officers from more than one dozen law enforcement agencies to send this strong and blunt message to those wreaking havoc in the region.

“You will be hunted. You will be tracked. And if you raise your weapon to a man like me, we’ll return fire with superior power. Every one of these animals is most definitely armed and dangerous. You think men like these [motioning to the other officers in the video] are afraid of an uneducated 125-pound punk like you? That’s never won a fair fight in your life and holds your gun sideways?”

Captain Higgins went on to say that he will meet the members of the Gremlins street gang anytime and anywhere. In the viral video created by the Louisiana police officers, the captain told the gang members that they would not walk away after such an encounter. Higgins is a member of the St. Landry Sheriff’s Department, according to his Facebook page.

During an interview with local media outlet KATC, Captain Clay Higgins said that without a doubt, the Gremlins street gang is “all bad.” Higgins went on to note that the gang is extremely violent and that they pose a danger to the community on a daily basis.

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Deputy went on to say that he is hopeful that folks in the Acadiana community and the rest of the county can take a strong and unified stand against the Gremlin gang.

Clay Higgins also launched an online store, Captain Higgins Gear, to sell items slugged with his most popular phrases to garner funds for the local homeless shelter and to aid crime victims. In a message from Becca Higgins, the wife of the now-famous cop, she says that her husband is a humble man who was a SWAT cop for 11 years and teaches martial arts to community members six times a month.

Becca Higgins went on to say that when the night shift cop returned home from his shift on many mornings, he would share an “uplifting story of an interaction he had experienced with some poor soul” She added that Clay felt it was a blessing to be able to respond to somewhere that God needed him to be in order to help another human being.

Ten Gremlins street gang members were recently arrested for various crimes, but police officers are still attempting to serve warrants on seven others. Some of the charges levied against members of the violent Louisiana gang include murder, robbery, and drug crimes. Many of the victims of those crimes have refused to cooperate with police investigators to put them behind bars due to fear of retaliation.

Captain Clay Higgins, the police officers and faith leaders also shown in the video are hopeful that the strong warning to the gang will help pave the way to more arrests and convictions.

Gremlins street gang members are brazen when it comes to committing crimes and often brag about their dirty deeds in rap videos posted online, Captain Higgins said. Gang members have reportedly posted photos of themselves with weapons on social media and have actively engaged in witness intimidation tactics, the Louisiana indictment maintains.
