Lil Kim apparently loved the fact that Miley Cyrus dressed up as her for Halloween.
The singer made headlines once again when she donned the same outfit the rapper did during her memorable appearance at the MTV VMAs back in 1999. Since Cyrus apparently wore the costume as a tribute, Lil Kim was pretty happy with the way it turned out.
“Put it this way, she did me very well. I think she looked gorgeous. I love her; she’s one of my besties. She’s like my bestie-slash-wifey. You know what’s so funny? As soon as she tweeted the picture, she texted me and she was like, ‘Happy Halloween, babe!’ I think she did me well,” the rapper recently told MTV News .
Lil Kim added, “The purple pasty will always just be phenomenally outstanding and phenomenally one of the world’s favorites. The purple pasty with the purple hair is something that kids love, women love and men love and people all over the world loved. When people give you that compliment on Halloween, it’s huge.”
While some folks are quick to criticize Miley Cyrus whenever she does something remotely daring, the Lil Kim outfit seemed to go over well with Twitter users.
“I give Miley Cyrus her props she slayed as Lil Kim. And that outfit was such an iconic moment for Kim,” one person tweeted after pictures started making the rounds online earlier this week.
“Miley Cyrus serving Lil Kim VMA Awards circa 1999 REALNESS I am now with the Miley movement,” another micro-blogger posted in response to pictures of the Lil Kim costume.

Although Miley Cyrus nailed the Lil Kim outfit, one person who failed at his attempt to dress up as a celebrity was Perez Hilton. Like many other folks this Halloween, the gossip blogger decided to go as the “We Can’t Stop” singer this year. The results were… interesting.
