Three days ago, Valve put out a request for users to test out Left 4 Dead 2 ‘s latest campaign, Cold Stream. If 20,000 people completed the campaign by this Sunday, they would push to release Dead Air by July 22. Only seven hours after the contest began, the community had already hit 30,000 – and 24 hours later, the count was at 60,000.
As promised, Valve stated on the Left 4 Dead blog that Dead Air will be released no later than July 22. They’re still working on the finishing touches, but they’re working on getting it up and ready as soon as possible.
Additionally, Valve touched on some of what else is being worked on with Left 4 Dead 2 . According to the post, the team is working on a “new version” of the Dark Carnivale finale, as well as “some gameplay changes for finales in general.”
