Lady Gaga wouldn’t mind recording a duet with fellow pop singer Britney Spears.
Although the ladies are currently competing for your disposable cash with their latest albums, apparently they really want to put together some sort of duet down the road. Spears and Mother Monster might have an idea in mind, but they haven’t made any definite plans as of this writing. If you want this to happen, then keep your fingers crossed.
According to Entertainmentwise , Britney Spears first mentioned the collaboration while promoting her new album Britney Jean .
“I would do a duet with Lady Gaga. I think that would be a lot of fun. I think she’s very different and interesting and intricate,” Spears told her fans.
When Lady Gaga received word that Britney was very interested in working together in the future, the singer responded with a post on Twitter. In short: She wouldn’t mind hitting the studio with Spears. However, she used language that’s a bit more colorful in nature.
“Let’s do this b****. It’s time,” Gaga tweeted.
Fans of Lady Gaga and Britney Spears got a little excited back in October when word started spreading that the pair had collaborated on the tune “Alien.” MTV News reports that folks were a little confused by a tweeted issued by Britney Jean producer will.i.am.
Since the Black Eyed Peas rapper included the hashtag #creativeALIEN in response to one of Lady Gaga’s tweets, many believed he was talking about the Britney Spears song. Once people started freaking out, producer William Orbit stepped in to clarify the situation.
“I see the rumours about a GG vocal collaboration on ‘Alien’ have died down. You prob already know it, but [I] can confirm: No collaboration,” Orbit tweeted.
