Kim Kardashian’s trip to Kuwait is underway despite some protestations from locals about the reality TV star’s plans, and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians cast member has been excitedly tweeting about her vacay.
The news Kim Kardashian was headed to Kuwait followed a Twitter dustup in which the socialite — who had previously admitted she was “undecided” just days before the US election — managed to offend both Israelis and Palestinians alike with a series of tweets on conflict in the region.
Ahead of Kardashian’s trip to Kuwait, she was forced to delete a few tweets about relations in the Middle East and explain to fans:
“I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realised that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize.”
But the Israel/Palestine missteps didn’t prompt a cancellation of Kardashian’s visit to Kuwait, and the star is rocking the casbah to promote two new “Millions of Milkshakes” locations in Kuwait and Bahrain.
Kardashian also flirted with diplomacy on her milkshake mission, taking time out to meet with US Ambassador to Kuwait Matthew Tueller, and tweeting the meeting a few hours back.
Since touching down in Kuwait, Kardashian has tweeted:
