Actress Kelly McGillis, best remembered for her role opposite Tom Cruise in Top Gun, has confirmed rumors that she is a lesbian.
“I’m done with the man thing,” McGillis told Shewired . “I did that, I need to move on in life. It’s a part of being true to yourself. That’s been a challenge for me.”
51 year old McGillis is twice married and divorced, and has two teenage daughters. McGillis said that it took her a long time to accept that she was a lesbian. “I think that was an ongoing process from the time I was probably 12..It was a long arduous journey for me.”
