In the past Kelly Clarkson has been described as a lighter version of Alanis Morissette for the younger generation, singing about love lost, horrible boyfriends, and being stronger by herself. Now it appears that Clarkson is tired of going solo, and has found love, and might even be getting married by the end of the year.
The saint in question is her boyfriend talent manager Brandon Blackstock. The couple have been dating since late last year, and it’s said that the two have grown so close that Clarkson is convinced she’s walking down the aisle.
According to a source, “Kelly’s expecting an engagement ring by late summer and to be wed by year’s end.” In fact, Clarkson’s 30 lb drop from her frame is allegedly all due to prepping for a wedding to her 30-year-old beau.
Currently the pop singer is in the middle of her tour with The Fray to promote her album Stronger. On the side she also acts as a judge on the musical reality show Duets alongside Jennifer Nettles, Robin Thicke, and John Legend. While the source did say that Kelly Clarkson wanted to trim down her figure for Duets , they did add “the driving force behind her weight loss is the holiday nuptials.”
“Kelly has been eating [well] and exercising like crazy because she wants to look good for Brandon,” the source close to Clarksonr said. “She loves to tell him that when he pops the question she’ll be at her ideal weight of 120lbs. – and ready to shop for wedding dresses.”
