Katy Perry recently offered to write Hillary Clinton’s theme song should she decide to run for President in 2016.

Although the former Secretary of State hasn’t revealed whether she’s making a grab for the presidency in a couple of years, many believe it’s only a matter of time before she makes everything official. When that day arrives, “Roar” singer Katy Perry wouldn’t mind putting together Clinton’s theme song. No joke.

According to E! Online , Perry made the offer while hanging out with Clinton during a book signing for the memoir Hard Choices . In addition to snapping a photo with the former First Lady, Katy revealed that she’d love to show her support in the form of a song .

“I told Hillary Clinton that I would write her a ‘theme’ song if she needs it,” Katy Perry wrote on Instagram. Check out the pic below.

Katy Perry wasn’t the only famous face to show up for the recent book signing at The Grove in Los Angeles. The Daily Mail reports that Glee star Chris Colfer was also on-hand to get his copy of Hard Choices autographed by Hillary. As you can tell from the image below, she was a little surprised that Colfer decided to show up.

While Katy Perry and the Glee actor are busy cracking the spines on their copies of Hard Choices , apparently the book is having a difficult time finding an audience. The Inquisitr previously reported that publisher Simon & Schuster initially printed one million copies of the memoir, but there’s apparently a shortage of readers willing to pick it up.

An insider recently told the Weekly Standard :

“Between us, they are nervous at S&S. Sales were well below expectations and the media was a disaster. They sold 60,000 hard covers first week and 24,000 ebooks. The publishing house was ‘hoping and praying for 150,000 print first week.’ They will be lucky to sell 150,000 total lifetime. It’s a bomb but it will be interesting to see how they spin it.”

Are you surprised that pop star Katy Perry offered to pen a “theme song” for possible presidential candidate Hillary Clinton? Do you think the former Secretary of State will end up making a run for the White House?
