When Justin Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian hooked up, fans were baffled. What did the 21-year-old pop star and 36-year-old reality TV star have in common considering his passionate romance with Selena Gomez and her nine years (and three kids) with Scott Disick? Now, a new clip from Keeping Up With The Kardashians and some insights from sources have revealed several possible reasons, ranging from a push by matriarch Kris Jenner to a desire to make Selena jealous, and last but not least: a longing for both the Biebs and Kourtney to have fun.

When it comes to Jenner, the telling scene on Keeping Up With The Kardashianscame when Kris urged Kardashianto consider dating, reported Enstarz.

“I’m just telling you to keep an open mind,” pleaded Jenner. “It would be kind of cool if you went on a date.”

Kourtney rejected traditional dating at that time, noting that she attempted to get into the dating scene geared toward long-term, conventional relationships and that it wasn’t for her.

“It was so not for me. I just got out of a nine year relationship. I think the last thing I probably need is anybody in my life,” insisted Kardashian.

But did Kris plant an idea in her daughter’s mind that the “cool” concept of dating actually might be a good idea? In the months that have passed since that scene from Keeping Up With The Kardashians was filmed, Kourtney has been happily canoodling with Bieber.

And that’s not all. Justin has been friends with the Kardashian and Jenner family for years, and as a result, the blossoming romance between Corey Gamble, who works for Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, and Kris Jennercame about because of Justin, according to E News.

An insider revealed to E! that Corey and Jenner met at an Ibiza birthday party that Justin also attended.

So now that Kris is dating Corey, Jenner also may have been motivated to encourage Kourtney to date the 21-year-old pop star because she feels that the idea of an older woman hooking up with a younger man is a great concept.

How much of a terrific idea? Jenner wants Kourtney and Bieber’s romance to be part of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, reported Hollywood Life.

Kris feels it would enhance the plot to have Kourtney and Justin shown enjoying their flirty fun on the reality TV show. Will the Biebs become a central featured character to replace Scott?

“Kris is pressuring Kourtney to discuss her relationship, to be more exact, her sexual chemistry with Justin on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. And if that’s not enough, Kris wants Kourtney to persuade Justin to make a couple of appearances on the show,” an insider shared with Hollywood Life.

However, Kourtney isn’t so thrilled about the idea of having her relatively new romance with Justin featured on the show, said that insider.

“Kourtney is not interested in doing any of this. She thinks her mom is completely out of line for even bringing it up. Kourtney does not want any part of her relationship with Justin even remotely mentioned on the show!” emphasized the source.

Amid all this scheming by the KUWTK matriarch, how does Justin feel about hooking up with Kourtney? He hopes he can make Selena Gomez feel jealous, according to Hollywood Take.

It’s been several months of hooking up together for Bieber and Kourtney, and Justin has been boasting about dating the 36-year-old reality TV star. Their relationship is described as “touchy-feely,” with Kourtney seen exiting the hotel where Bieber stays at 4 a.m.

But part of that obsession on Bieber’s part comes from his hope of winning Selena back, and he’s been longing to find a way to woo her to return to his side, according to Hollywood Take. Can he make her so jealous that she comes to him and says she wants to reignite their romance? No one knows yet.

But in addition to that push from Kris and desire to make Selena jealous, Justin and Kourtney also are together just because they share a desire for flirty fun, as the Inquisitr reported. They’ve been spotted on dates, and are described as “extremely flirtatious,” constantly texting each other.
