Johnny Depp: Heard Releases Photos Of Injuries From Alleged Previous Attack

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were married about 15 months before she filed for divorce on May 23. About a week later, she requested and was granted a temporary restraining order and alleged that she has been the victim of violence at the hand of Depp throughout their relationship. In her request, she provided a photograph of her face with a bruise on the right side near her eye. She claims that she received that bruise in a fight with Johnny on May 21 when he threw a phone at her face. Today, People is reporting that Amber has now released another photo of injuries she says she received in a fight she had with Depp in December. The injuries in that photo include a bruised eye and cut lip. In the statement Heard filed with the court, she referenced this argument, saying, “there was one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared for my life.”

The court papers she filed against Johnny also include references to an incident on April 21. Amber alleges that on that day, Depp appeared at the end of a party for her thirtieth birthday “inebriated and high,” and they argued. She states that he grabbed her by the hair and pushed her violently to the floor.

In another report, People states that sources close to the couple indicate the relationship between Johnny and Amber has been unhealthy for a long time. Their source indicates that she had serious doubts about marrying Depp at their engagement party.

“She kind of got cold feet … She was just like, ‘What am I doing here?’ When Johnny Depp wants you, you don’t really say no.”

A friend of Johnny’s told the magazine at the time that, “Amber is the female version of Johnny. She’s sort of kooky and outspoken, and while that would intimidate many guys, it is a turn-on for Johnny.”

Sources also told them that the combination of Amber’s outspoken nature and independence with Depp’s insecurity led to jealousy on the part of Johnny. They allege that he doesn’t handle relationship problems well, that he tends to withdraw and become moody and difficult.

Depp has been out of the country since the news and drama surrounding his divorce began. The 52-year-old has been busy promoting his new film, Alice Through the Looking Glass, in which he plays the Mad Hatter and performing with his band, Hollywood Vampires. Johnny has not made a statement regarding the divorce or any of Heard’s allegations.

The Mirror is also reporting on the new photos and states that Depp’s attorney, Laura Wasser, issued a statement in which she says that Amber is alleging domestic violence in an effort to receive a quick and large financial settlement. Heard’s team insists that the charges are valid and that their client is simply acting to protect herself.

“Amber is simply a victim of domestic violence, and none of her actions are motivated by money. Amber is a brave and financially independent woman who is showing the courage of her convictions by doing the right thing against Johnny’s relentless army of lawyers and surrogates.”

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the set of The Rum Diary, and all indications are that there was instant attraction. They married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles in February of 2015 followed by a second ceremony on Depp’s private island in the Bahamas. Johnny was previously married from 1983 to 1986 to Lori Anne Allison, and was in an unmarried relationship with Vanessa Paradis for 14 years. Paradis is the mother of Depp’s two children, Lily Rose Depp and Jack Depp. Both women have publicly stated that Johnny was never violent with them.
