Joey Feek Enjoys The Snow, Wants The Chance To Raise Indiana

Joey Feek is still battling cancer and pushing through. Luckily, she got the chance to see the snow at least one more time. Rory went to their blog and posted about how things are going for them as Joey enjoys what time she has left. They are staying in Indiana right now with Joey’s family and the snow has already started to fall in this area. Two days ago, it started to fall and the way that Rory described Joey’s excitement is amazing.

Rory shared how his wife reacted when she got the chance to see the snow.

“I was sitting next to her bed – holding her in my arms, when she happened to look up and see the white coming down through her window. You would’ve thought the heavens had parted and Jesus had come back, by the light in her eyes. It was like God was sending light into the darkness she was feeling…”

After this, they got a very sweet picture of their friend’s daughter Scout and this is when Joey Feek broke down in tears all about how she wants to be the one to raise their baby Indiana and Joey wants to be the one to teach their daughter things. It doesn’t look like she will be the one around doing it and this is heartbreaking. The snow falling from the sky was the only thing that could make Joey Feek stop crying. Rory explained what happened next.

“‘I didn’t think I’d get to see snow again.’ And she looked at me, then raised her eyes up at sky and said ‘if this is the last snow I ever see, thank you Jesus… thank you.'”

Rory even shared this video that he took of the snow that Joey Feek loved so much. This snow will always be his favorite and Rory shared that the song with it will end up being part of a new album that is coming out from Joey + Rory in February. Even though Joey Feek may not be around, she will always live on in her music and the new Joey + Rory album is one everyone can’t wait to buy.

The details of Joey Feek’s album are still coming out, but Rory shared some of what it will be and that it is one that Joey + Rory have been working on.

“The one she’s always wanted to make – filled with the hymns she grew up with. We recorded it in a studio in Nashville early in the summer – just after recovering from her first big surgery in Chicago. And then she did her vocals where she could… in hotel rooms, our house, wherever and whenever she felt up to singing. In early October, we even did a tv taping of the songs in the concert hall at our farm in front of a live audience. Joey was weak and it was difficult for her, but she was determined. This record means so much to her. It is the songs that are the most important to her.”

When this album comes out from Joey + Rory, part of the money made will go to the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation. Their friend’s daughter Scout suffers from this disease and Joey Feek wants to do what she can to help. This little girl is also their daughter Indiana’s best friend.

ABC News shared that Joey Feek has been sharing a lot of sweet photos while with her daughter. Joey is at home with her family and on hospice now. She has an area set up right by her so Indiana can play by her side. Joey Feek is at peace with what is going on and just living life until God decides it is time to take her home.
