Joe Biden Eats Pie At Costco, Talks Tax Cuts For Middle Class

Joe Biden talked to workers at Costco today about extending the middle-class tax cuts. Oh, he also bought some apple pie, a 32 inch TV, some children’s books and a few fire logs.
Hey, who said you couldn’t shop and talk politics at the time. Costco has some great deals that you really just can’t pass up.
According to Boston.com, Biden flashed his store membership card as he entered Washington D.C.’s first Costco. Biden found a Costco employee and informed that he was “looking for pies.”
Biden and President Obama have been working to stop a tax increase scheduled for January 1. A series of tax cuts are set to expire at the end of the year which will increase taxes about $2,200 for the average middle class family. The White House started the hashtag #My2K on Twitter earlier this week in order to gather public support for extending the tax cut.
Biden said that he wanted to settle the tax dispute before the Christmas shopping season in order to give an extra boost to the economy.
Biden said:
”We have a lot we have to settle, but there’s one thing we should all agree on and that’s the middle-class tax cut should be made permanent. I think it’s important Congress acts now, I mean right now… All these folks in this store, man, it’s going to make a difference. Take $2,200 out of their pockets next year, you have a big problem.”
During the 2012 Election season Mitt Romney and his wife Anne repeatedly said that they were frequent Costco customers in an apparent attempt to downplay their wealth. Now that the election is over it looks like Biden and Obama are trying to move into Costco territory.
