Joaquin Phoenix has announced he is quitting acting, by using a texta to write the words good bye on his knuckles, obviously he couldn’t thank god and his agent as he only has 10 knuckles. We think he also may have had his BFF pass studio bosses a note in the hallway at lunch to say he won’t be seeing them anymore.
Phoenix, sometimes known a Leaf Phoenix, was propelled into the spotlight when his brother River died outside the Viper Room owned by Johnny Depp. It was Joaquin Phoenix’s frantic phone call to 911 that hit the airwaves and was played over and over again.
Perhaps most famous for the movie Walk the Line where Phoenix played Johnny Cash, for which he won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar. Phoenix went on to record an album of Johnny Cash covers.
Phoenix is quitting acting to pursue a career in music videos. We think working with Gwyneth Paltrow in his latest movie, Two lovers, proved too much for him.
