Jesse Tyler Ferguson is a married man. The Modern Family actor wed his longtime partner Justin Mikita this weekend during a ceremony in New York City.
OMG reports that the wedding was attended by several of Ferguson’s co-stars. Eric Stonestreet, who plays Ferguson’s husband on the hit ABC show, Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen were all at the wedding. Producer Nigel Lythgo and several other stars were also in attendance.
Tony Kushner, who wrote the screenplay for Lincoln, officiated the wedding.
Nigel wrote on Twitter: “I think the service at Justin and Jesse’s wedding was so beautifully honest… It was so emotional that when we weren’t laughing we were crying.”
USA Today reports that Jesse, 37, and Justin, 27, got engaged in 2012 while vacationing with Sofia Vergara. They have been together for about three years.
Vergara wasn’t able to attend the wedding but she did leave a message for Jesse and Justin on Twitter.
Vergara writes : “Thinking of you! Wishing you the best in this beautifull adventure! @jessetyler @justinmikita.”
Co-star Julie Bowen also shared some love for the new couple.
Bowen writes : “It’s official. @jessetyler and @JustinMikita are Mr and Mr! #bestweddingever.”
Of course, the happiest Modern Family member this weekend was probably Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
