Although 19 Kids And Counting may be in trouble, life goes on as usual for the little person growing in Jessa Seewald’s womb — and she may have given a big hint about the gender of the baby on Father’s Day. Although the little one is not expected until November, she has already had and shared her 20 week ultrasound, but not the gender of the baby. Jessa plans to reveal the gender when the baby is born. However, on Father’s Day, she took to Instagram with a cute maternity shirt that says “Touch Down!” with two small baby handprints on it, along with the following message to Ben Seewald, her husband.
“Happy 1st Father’s Day to my man, @ben_seewald! You’re already such a sweet daddy, caring for your preborn baby! You’re my #1 cheerleader when it comes to making good food choices, but you also understand when the baby “needs” a late-night bowl of cookies & cream ice cream! ?Thanks for all the back rubs, breakfast in bed, and for encouraging me to stick with those pregnancy workouts! ? You’re the best! So blessed to have you as my husband and the father of our baby!”
Many fans have interpreted the football reference to indicate that Jessa is having a son, which would follow in the footsteps of Sister Jill, whose first child, Israel, is also a boy. Although it does not appear that Jessa and Jill are going to get their own spin-off show on TLC, much of the public remains intensely interested in the two sisters, who admit to being victims of their brother Josh’s molestation, but are furious at the media and cancellation of the show, claiming, “We’ve forgiven him and Josh is not a rapist!”
While many find the shirt to be a hint at the baby’s gender, others think it’s just a coincidental shirt that she was wearing, or maybe the baby is a girl and she wore the shirt to keep people guessing. Regardless, she certainly remains active on social media, celebrating her pregnancy with her husband, and posting family pictures. Josh Duggar also has been active on social media, taking to Instagram to wish his wife, Anna, a happy birthday. Although the show has been officially cancelled by TLC, it appears the Duggars are sticking together and carrying on with life.
Readers, what do you think — was Jessa hinting at the gender of her baby on Father’s Day?
