Jeffrey Jordon, the son of NBA great Michael Jordan, has quit basketball.
Jeffrey had been playing for the University of Illinois, where he enrolled in 2007 as a psychology major. Despite being the son of Michael Jordon, Jeffrey’s basketball record at the University wasn’t brilliant, but wasn’t the worst either, playing 59 games, with 58 points, 42 assists and 24 rebounds, but with little court time each game.
“I loved playing for the Fighting Illini and appreciate the support I was given by my teammates, coaches and the great fans here,” Jeffrey told a local outlet. “But I have come to the point where I’m ready to focus on life after basketball. I will concentrate on earning my degree from the University of Illinois and the opportunities that await upon graduating.”
Jordon’s other son Marcus Jordan is still playing basketball, entering his first year at UCF.
