The Arrested Development star, Jason Bateman and wife Amanda Anka have welcomed their new baby girl to the world! This is the fourth child for Jason and the second for Amanda.
The couple welcomed their new bundle of joy Maple Sylvie Bateman on Friday, February 10th in Los Angeles. The couple also has daughter, Francesca Nora, 5.
Amanda Anka, who’s the daughter of singer Paul Anka, wed Jason in 2001, both are 43 years-old.
Proud Grandpa was the first to announce to the world about the couple expecting. The singer tweeted in August, “I’m going to be a grandfather again!” The father of Amanda also had great praises for Jason saying, ” a very smart boy, a wonderful guy for my daughter.”
It looks like it’s going to be a huge year for Jason with two project scheduled for 2012, and of course the pending development of the Arrested Development film that’s been the talk of the town for years now since the show’s cancellation. Last we heard, co-creator and executive producer Mitchell Hurwitz confirmed that the film is indeed going forward, and sooner than we all think. “It’s true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ’13. VERY excited!”
