Jamie Spears spoke to OK! yesterday about acting as Britney’s conservator, and even though his intentions were questioned in the beginning, he does have Britney’s best at heart. Plus , he doesn’t want to stick around any longer than needed, saying that he’s “hopeful that his daughter will reach a place where she no longer needs [his assistance].”
“I would hope that it stands until the end of the year, and then we’ll sit back and evaluate where we are at the time, where Britney is at that time. It’s wonderful. It’s new for both of us. She sometimes calls me 50 times a day and asks me things that light my life up.”
It sounds like Britney’s got a new crutch now– her dad! Here’s to a dependency on the acceptable side– and a not-so-scary rest of the year. ( Let’s just get past those VMAs , shall we?)
