James Woods is ready to air his true thoughts about President Obama, even if it means losing work in Hollywood.
The actor has not been quiet in his criticism of Obama, tweeting his displeasure with the president in the wake of the government shutdown.
“This President is a true abomination. To have barricaded the WW2 vets, but allow illegal aliens privilege…” Woods wrote on Wednesday.
He later called Obama “just vile. A small, small man,” leading one of Woods’ Twitter followers to ask if he feared losing work in left-leaning Hollywood as a result.
Woods replied: “I don’t expect to work again. I think Barack Obama is a threat to the integrity and future of the Republic. My country first.”
James Woods has been vocal in his criticism of Obama in the past. When Obama spoke about the Trayvon Martin case, Obama noted, “And there are very few African-American men who haven’t had the experience of walking across the street and hearing the locks click on the doors of cars. That happens to me, at least before I was a senator.”
After Obama’s remark, Woods replied : “The only reason people lock their car doors when Obama walks by is they are afraid he’ll tax them to death.”
His tirade on the government shutdown has stretched longer than past remarks on the president, however.
Though polls show Americans blame Republicans the most for the shutdown and Obama the least, Woods seem to place the blame squarely on the president.

James Woods has also taken aim at Obamacare, which is at the center of the government shutdown. A group of Tea Party Republicans have vowed not to sign any legislation to end the shutdown and pay government bills unless a measure to defund or delay Obamacare is included.

Though James Woods may believe his Obama criticism will lead to a Hollywood backlash, that hasn’t been the case in the past. Woods has continued to work while taking shots at the president, including a part in the action movie White House Down .
