Jaleel White reportedly flipped out on his dancing partner, Kym Johnson, after Monday night’s performance on “Dancing With The Stars,” but the former child star says that the reports were “completely exaggerated.”
White was apparently upset with his rehearsal and yelled at Johnson after she complained about having pain in her foot. But White said that there was no drama between him and Kym. White told People Magazine :
“We go to work every day, and there is an alley full of tabloid reporters… It’s not fair to us and that’s life, and I hope people can see through it. There’s no drama in my life.”
Johnson admitted that it was a stressful week but she didn’t say that she was upset with her partner. Johnson said:
“This has been a stressful week for us, and people have stressful weeks. [Today] was horrible. I thought we got through it really well, and our dance tonight will show everyone that we really have a great connection. This is really the first week we only had four days to learn [the rumba].”
After Monday’s performance Jaleel White allegedly yelled at Johnson after she complained about pain in her foot. According to a source, the incident was bad enough that Donald Driver almost had to step into intervene and diffuse the situation.
Host Mark Ballas said:
“These things happen. This show is a competitive show. Things get heated…. This got severely twisted. We’ve been in the same room all night, and everything’s fine.”
The drama between White and Johnson does seem a little overblown but the “Family Matters” star does admits that the show is more frustrating than he expected. White said:
“They literally do not let you rehearse without a camera. You’re watching everything, and it’s tough… I’m a sitcom generation kid. I’m not used to all this tabloid stuff.”
