Matt Ryan and his wife, Sarah, appear to be a great option for The Real Housewives of Atlanta — they are young, good looking, and have tons of cash. However, when TMZ caught up with Matt Ryan and his wife on June 27, the Atlanta couple claimed they weren’t on board with being cast on the show .
“I don’t think so,” Sarah replied.
“I don’t think it’s for us,” Matt Ryan added.
However, that isn’t to say they aren’t fans of the show. In fact, Matt Ryan confirmed to TMZ that he and wife Sarah watch the show, and are big fans of his teammate, Kroy Biermann, and his wife, Kim Zolciak.
“Kroy and Kim were on it. They’re really good.”
Recently, Matt Ryan and his wife appeared on HBO’s Hard Knocks , and while The Real Housewives of Atlanta may not be in their future, Matt Ryan claimed he enjoyed filming the reality show, as well as the crew involved in the series.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Matt Ryan isn’t the only celebrity recently tied to the The Real Housewives of Atlanta . Earlier this month, the Philadelphia Tribune claimed actress Kim Fields was in talks to join the show for its upcoming eighth season.
“Another former child star is headed to TV. I hear Kim Fields (Tootie from The Facts of Life and Regine from Living Single ) is joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo. The 46-year-old actress and director is married with two kids, and Fields has turned her life over to Christ. Producers are looking for a storyline about her husband, who is whispered to be bi-sexual.”
With Matt Ryan and his wife opting out of the show, it’s hard to say who will be coming aboard to replace Claudia Jordan, and possibly another exiting housewife.
Last week, after Jordan’s exit was officially announced , she defended herself on Facebook, claiming she didn’t have a fair chance to win over fans on the show.
“Keep in mind I wasn’t ALLOWED to have a story line for most of filming. i started as Kenyas friend-then more than half way thru they gave me a peach so there was no filming time left to get my full story… simple math.”
Jordan starred on the show for just one season before getting the boot by Bravo.
