The HTC Droid DNA is headed to Verizon, and, for $199, customers will be treated to a top of the line smartphone with plenty of wow factor.
The Droid DNA comes equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor which is helped along by 2GB of RAM. The device also features a standard 16GB of internal storage and Beats Audio technology.
On the camera front, the Droid offers an 8MP backside camera alongside a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera. The device’s camera is something to behold, featuring a chipset that allows it to take pictures while simultaneously shooting video. The camera also features a f/2.0 28mm wide-angle lens to help with low-light performance.
Watching video and examining pictures users just took won’t be hard with the device’s 5-inch Super LCD 3 full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display. The HTC Droid DNA features a crazy 44- pixels-per-inch for amazing 1080p clarity.
Powered by Google Android 4.1 Jelly Bean , the device also features HTC Sense 4 Plus and ships with a 2020 mAh battery.
Also includes are wireless charging and Long-Term Evolution (LTE) for 4G mobile data connectivity.
Verizon is currently pre-ordering the device for $199 with a two-year contract, which includes both voice and data requirements.
The biggest missing feature? The device does not feature a MicroSD card slot, a strange move for HTC after years of supporting the card slot feature on lower memory storage devices.
The HTC Droid DNA is scheduled for an online and in-store delivery date of November 21.
