HTC on Thursday announced the company’s first smartphone to feature a dual-sim setup for European carriers. Based on the entry-level HTC Desire C the new smartphone will also feature Google Android 4.0 and come equipped with the popular HTC Sense 4 skin for a customized smartphone approach.
The Desire V features a 4 inch display, slightly larger than the 3.5 inches offered on the Desire C and it comes equipped with 800 x 480 pixels of resolution. Buyers will also receive a rear-facing camera with five-megapixels that is supported by an LED flash.
Power the devices dual-sims s a 1GHz single-core Qualcomm processor that has been partnered with 512MB of RAM. The device also supports HSDPA mobile data access for one of the SIM cards.
The HTC Desire V also offers 4GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for added storage. For power users HTC also includes 25GB of cloud storage from Dropbox.
If audio capabilities are more your style the phone features built-in Beats Audio , although a Beats headset is not included with the smartphone.
The HTC Desire is set for a July release in the Ukraine for approximately $470.
HTC has not revealed at this time if the HTC Desire V will move into other markets after its initial launch. Typically the success of new technology in certain regions dictates how far HTC will spread its supply chain, in the meantime we would love to see the Desire V reach store shelves in the United States.
