Hillary Clinton took questions from rich donors’ children for a hefty price during a fundraising event held recently. The Democratic presidential candidate answered questions at the rate of $2,700 a pop.

News of this calls into question how corrupt Clinton is when it comes to the scrutiny that surrounds her in politics. Charging a child thousands to ask her a question takes money and politics to a whole different level.

According to a report the New York Timesran, in reviewing her latest activities, Clinton hasn’t given a press conference in months but has been busy attending functions hosted by the ultra rich. In the last two weeks of August, Clinton raised $50 million at 22 fundraising events. She’s answered questions from elite donors in the Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Beverly Hills, and Silicon Valley. These events are closed to the press and allow donors easier access to Clinton in a more personable and relaxed setting. The atmosphere is less hectic and everyone has a chance to mingle with the presidential candidate.

“For a donation of $2,700, the children (under 16) of donors at an event last month at the Sag Harbor, N.Y., estate of the hedge fund magnate Adam Sender could ask Mrs. Clinton a question,” the report reads. “A family photo with Mrs. Clinton cost $10,000, according to attendees.”

It wasn’t revealed what kind of questions children were allowed to ask Hillary Clinton for the cost of $2,700. As The American Mirror writes, the former first lady and secretary of state fielded questions from children on a regular basis during the primary. The report pointed to one question that a boy in New Hampshire asked Clinton last January. He wanted to know what she planned to do about guns in an effort to keep him and his friends safe.

The child read from a card.

“When you become president, what is your plan to connect mental health problems and guns to make sure that me, my brothers, and my friends are safe from violence at school?”

Clinton answered, “I’m going to do everything I can do and I’m not going to stop trying. I think we need to pass some laws that I have been advocating for. We need comprehensive background checks. We need to close the gun show loophole, the online loophole.”

The presidential candidate added that she wanted to create a new gun rights group as powerful as the National Rifle Association. She told the child who asked the question that it’s time “for a different organization that will do more on gun safety, do more on gun responsibility and stand up for the safety of our children and our communities.”

The Times notes in its report that another benefit to Hillary Clinton choosing private fundraisers over town halls or other public events is that she can be assured the hosts will ward off any confrontational interactions. There’s a safety net in knowing there won’t be any uncomfortable situations arising. For instance, Democrat supporter and friend of the Clintons,’ Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, went out of her way to make sure attendees didn’t challenge Hillary at the $100,000-per-couple lamb dinner that she hosted for the candidate at her Martha’s Vineyard mansion.

It’s no secret that Hillary Clinton and many other politicians don’t turn down donations from the super rich, but charging children $2,700 to ask a question and $10,000 for a family photo is sparking outrage. It connotes that politicians are bought even by America’s youth for something that shouldn’t have a price tag.
