Helping blind people find their way. Controlling robots . Creating a self-aware videogame controller . I can understand why people make many Kinect hacks (okay, not that last one).
But hacking Kinect so that it works on PS3? Errr .
To be fair to hacker Shantanu Goel, this seems like more of a personal ‘So could I do this ?’ type of quest. In which case, a round of slow clapping is yours, sir. Watch Goel as he uses Microsoft’s Kinect to log in to his account on Sony’s console, navigate menus, and play some Killzone 3 . Pretty good. I guess?
