Giuliana Rancic is less “scary skinny” in a new photo she shared with followers on social media this week. The 41-year-old E! News host has weathered an avalanche of criticism for being underweight a few years now. A new image of her appears to break that trend.

Rancic uploaded a photo of herself to Instagram on Monday that showed her in a lounge chair wearing a bikini as she sat next Duke.

The photo drew high praises from fans who let Giuliana know how good they think she looks!

“You look so good! Very healthy looking now,” an observer wrote.

“Looking fab!!” someone commented.

“You look great!!!” another raved.

“10 more lbs needed,” one couldn’t help but add in, but continued, “looking healthier, beautiful son.”

There were other people who proved you can’t please everyone. A few remarked that she still needs to gain more weight and voiced concerns that she’s still too thin.

The photo below was snapped of Giuliana one week ago.

Both photos are shot somewhat close-up and changes in Giuliana’s body frame border on slight. Nevertheless, she looks healthier and has possibly gaining a few pounds back.

Giuliana Rancic told People last spring that the chatter over her having an eating disorder had “gotten out of hand,” so she finally addressed the rumors with People head-on.

“Some people were saying, ‘The cancer is probably back,’ ” Rancic said. “And they were accusing me of every eating disorder. I thought to myself, ‘God, if someone really thought I had an eating disorder, what a horrible way to approach it.’ ”

Giuliana shared that the cancer-suppressing medication she’d been taking since 2012 produced side effects on her body.

“I started noticing that I was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all,” Rancic says. “I was concerned.”

Rancic’s oncologist — Dr. Dev Paul of Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Denver, Colorado — confirmed that the drug can interfere with normal metabolism and cause weight loss.

The former Fashion Police co-host added that the type of attention she was getting due to her shrinking weight was “hurtful.” Over time, she hoped talk would simmer down and that she wouldn’t feel so chastised by the public.

“It’s really hurtful,” Giuliana said. “I’m sorry that some people think I’m disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there’s nothing I can do. I’m lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine.”

Giuliana said she “ate more” than any of her friends and that she was dedicated to a “very robust, healthy, balanced diet and dessert almost every night.” She emphatically said that she wasn’t “hiding from anything.”

Rancic has expressed that the changes have also psychologically affected her. She’s never denied that she has a “scary skinny” appearance.

“I look in the mirror and it’s hard for me,” she admits. “I am really thin. I want to look fit and beautiful and sexy, and I can’t.”

Perhaps what Giuliana Rancic finds so offensive is that people are so preoccupied with her weight. She said she never wants her weight “to distract people” from what she does.

An even bigger testament to how emaciated the public viewed her was when a major publication reversed its decision to feature her because she was “too skinny.”

If Giuliana is looking healthier all a sudden, is it because she’s backed off on her prescribed medication? Like everyone else, her metabolism might be changing as the years pass.
