Game of Thrones has always been filled with unpredictable and impossible storylines to figure out. And one of the most recent storylines fans have been wondering about is the endgame that Littlefinger has in store.
Petyr Baelish is perhaps the biggest unknown on Game of Thrones. He isn’t necessarily a bad person, even though you may not want to trust him. He wants to be close to power, and back in the day, he was in love with Catelyn Stark.
But that romance is long gone, and so far the only game plan that Littlefinger has, it seems, is to mess everything up so he can climb further up the ladder of success.
MTV reports that despite Littlefinger giving Sansa away to Ramsay to make a deal that would make him Protector of the Vale, he also believed he was helping Sansa by sending her back home to Winterfell.
Even though Littlefinger may have thought he was helping Sansa and himself, Sansa ended up getting the short end of the bargain thanks to Roose Bolton’s crazy son.
In the end, Littlefinger still looks out for Littlefinger first and foremost, and if Sansa isn’t in Winterfell, then that means he can’t build his alliance with the north.
Of course, whatever Littlefinger has on his agenda isn’t the only thing fans are yearning to figure out, or have answered.
There’s also the whereabouts of the Daenerys’ dragons, specifically, Drogan. But after the fiery, bloody scene in the “Book of the Stranger” episode, there was still no sign of them. Drogan was a no show, and so were his two brothers, Rhaegal and Viserion.
Meanwhile, there’s the whole time-travel possibility that has thrown fans for a loop. According to the NY Daily News , the time travel theory first came about after Bran called out to his father, Ned Stark, during a flashback with the Three-Eyed Raven.
The theory suggests that because of Bran’s ability to time travel, it was him that drove King Aerys insane by calling out to him, much like he did to his father. And like Ned, Aerys couldn’t see Bran and was eventually driven mad after hearing voices.
The king going mad, coupled with the alleged kidnapping of Lyanna Stark, causes Robert Baratheon’s rebellion and kicks off what everyone knows now as the game of thrones .
Another possible theory that could signal a change of events is the new attire Jon Snow was sporting in the final moments during the latest episode of Season 6.
The user claims that it’s no coincidence that Snow is wearing the armor of Starks when Sansa tells him that he has to take back the North for the Starks.
Are any of these theories believable? What about Littlefinger? What’s his endgame? Let us know what you think in the comments and check out a preview for the next all-new episode of Game of Thrones below.
