Freddie Prinze Jr. To Share Favorite Family Recipes In Upcoming Cookbook

Freddie Prinze Jr. is sharing his passion for good, healthy food in a brand new cookbook. Back To The Kitchen is due out sometime next year. He has partnered with Rodale Books, as his proud wife and recipe tester, Sarah Michelle Gellar, announced on her Facebook page Wednesday.
“Please help me in congratulating my husband Freddie Prinze Jr. on the announcement of his first cookbook ?#?BackToTheKitchen? coming in 2016 from Rodale Books. I am very proud to say that I have personally tasted everyone of these amazing recipes and will continue to. But now all of you will get to share in the amazing food from my absolute favorite chef.”
The 39-year-old actor told E! News his love of cooking goes back to his childhood. He said his mother encouraged him to “explore the world through food,” and he wanted pass that along to his children.
“I have been cooking longer than I’ve been acting—in fact, if I hadn’t made it as an actor, I’d probably be a chef today. I was actually enrolled in culinary school when I landed by first role, opposite Michelle Pfeiffer and Claire Danes in To Gillian on her 37th Birthday.”
Prinze has enjoyed sharing the meals he cooks for his family with his Twitter followers for a while now. Soon fans everywhere can enjoy trying them on their own. The cookbook will feature 75 of his favorite family recipes, along with stories behind them. His emphasis appears to be on cooking healthy food with real ingredients. A specific release date has not been set.

Freddie Prinze Jr. has been married to Sarah Michelle Gellar for 13 years. They have two children, 5-year-old Charlotte and 2-year-old Rocky. When the couple isn’t busy acting or cooking up delicious meals at home, they manage to get a date night in once in a while. Last month, Sarah Michelle posted a cute selfie of the two of them being “party animals.”
