Former Pretty Little Liars actor Parker Bagley pleaded guilty to misdemeanor larceny for lifting $7,000 in jewelry and electronics from a female friend’s apartment in Murray Hill, a neighborhood in Manhattan.

The 23-year-old took the plea Monday in Manhattan Criminal Court and agreed to pay half of the $7,000 the same day. The other half is due in June.

Bagley was originally facing third-degree grand larceny, which carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison. The actor was busted in January for stealing iPads, an iPod, a BlackBerry, and necklaces and a bracelet from the female friend and her roommates. The theft occurred in October when the unidentified friend told Bagley he could spent the night at her East 34th Street apartment. Bagley initially confessed to taking the belongings , but he later blamed a “shady” acquaintance.

Outside of the courtroom, Bagley joked with reporters, saying, “I’m just glad they didn’t find the bodies. That would have been bad.”

Parker Bagley played Jason DiLaurentis on Pretty Little Liars in two episodes of the first season. He was replaced by 27-year-old Drew Van Acker — a former underwear model — in the second season. There wasn’t much explanation given for the change, but executive producer Marlene King told E! Online , “This actor works more for where we’re going with that story.” It was also said that Van Acker more closely resembled the character’s description from the book series.

Bagley has since appeared in the 2011 comedy-horror film Detention and on an episode of NBC’s Grimm. He said he is now focusing on his music.

Pretty Little Liars was renewed for a fifth season in March, and it was also announced that a spinoff, Ravenswood , would air in October. The series wrapped its third season on March 19, with the finale, “A dAngerous gAme” drawing 2.87 million viewers, down from the previous season’s 3.69 million. The fourth season premieres on June 11.
