A fifth-grader in Florida is under investigation after it was discovered that the student allegedly poured bleach into another student’s water bottle, and after the student’s alleged kill list was discovered, according to WFLA .
On May 13, just moments after the bell rang at Lewis Elementary school in Temple Terrace, a student allegedly poured bleach into another student’s water bottle while she was out of the classroom.
When the child returned to the classroom from outside, she took a sip of water from her water bottle and immediately noticed something was strange. The child informed her teacher that it “tasted funny” and without hesitation, her school teacher told her to throw it out.

However, it wasn’t until days later that it was discovered that a student – whose name has not been released – had actually poured the bleach inside of her classmate’s water bottle. When the student was identified, officials at Lewis Elementary immediately contacted the child’s mother, who told them that she believes the act was intentional because she discovered a kill list in the notebook of the child in question.
Officials at Lewis Elementary removed the child from the school and immediately notified Temple Terrace police, who are currently investigating the incident.
The principal also notified parents by sending a text message and leaving a voice message, which stated the following: “Hello, this is Delilah Rabeiro, principal of Lewis Elementary. We were made aware of an alleged threat against students at our school. We immediately contacted law enforcement. Temple Terrace police and the State Attorney’s Office are investigating.”
“We have identified the student involved, and law enforcement in the State Attorney’s Office are handling the situation. Our students and staff are all safe. I will update you as I receive more information. Thank you.”
Parents were stunned after learning a fifth-grader alleged poured bleach into her classmate’s water bottle and had made a kill list. They never thought that something as sinister as spiking a drink and making a kill list would happen at their children’s elementary school.
Parent Arlisa Williams stated that “it shouldn’t have happened. The fact that she’d brought it to school? I would be devastated if it happened to my child.”
Omar Vazquez, the father of one of one of the students who is reportedly on the kill list stated that “this is an elementary school, sometimes they don’t know the consequences for what they do.”
Fortunately for the victim, “she did not get sick” after drinking her water bottle that was spiked with bleach, but another parent, Ashley Brown, at the elementary school stated that it “could have ended something terrible, bleach? No! That’s crazy, that’s scary.”
“That’s charges, that’s jail time as an adult, because that’s an adult move.”

According to WTSP , the child in question has not been arrested for allegedly trying to poison a classmate by pouring bleach into her water bottle and having a kill list. But if the “Hillsborough County State Attorney decides to move forward with the case, the child could be facing premeditated attempted murder or manslaughter, criminal conspiracy, and poisoning with the intent to injure or kill.”
The mother of the child in question doesn’t want her child to face any criminal charges and would much rather see the child get professional help. However, if the state attorney decides to move forward with the case and charge the the child in question, the mother stated that it would be appropriate.
The mother went on to say that “if a kid is intending to kill their classmate, that’s criminal.”
Temple Terrace police and the state attorney are currently investigating the incident to determine why an elementary school student would pour bleach in a student’s water bottle, and create a student kill list.
