James Wan is keeping fans buzzing about the upcoming release of his big-budget sequel Fast and Furious 7. The director recently shared a new image on Facebook.
Star Vin Diesel isn’t the only person associated with the flick who understands the power of social media. Following the photos released by the busy actor last month, Wan decided to give fans a look at the villain’s ride in the forthcoming follow-up.
“My villain drives a nice set of wheels,” the director wrote. The pic in question, which features James Wan standing in front of an Aston Martin, lies below.
Fast and Furious 7 will reportedly feature Jason Statham as the proverbial bad guy. However, the actor recently explained that moviegoers really have no idea who his character is or how he fits into the storyline.
“I’m gonna do what I do. Obviously we’re trying to work out now what angle to come from. Some people say, ‘Wait, are you gonna be the villain? The guy who threatens the world and wants to blow everything up?’ No,” the actor recently told Coming Soon .
He added, “People think I’m gonna play the bad guy. People think I’m gonna be the villain. People don’t really know what’s comin’, and I think there’s something exciting about that. People are just dying to know what extent and what involvement I’m going to have in the movie.”
In other words, there’s a very strong possibility that Jason Statham will drive that sleek Aston Martin in Fast and Furious 7. However, hardcore fans of the series may have to wait until the film hits theaters next year to find out.
