Faith Hill had a mysterious scar on her neck at the Oscars, leaving many wondering what caused it. According to People Magazine , the country singer underwent neck surgery last month. The 47-year-old mother of three had a relatively old injury that needed some additional treatment, likely due to the discomfort it was causing her. This wasn’t the first time that Hill had surgery for the problem either. She went under the knife in 2011 as well, though it’s unclear if she had the same procedure done back then too.
“The procedure, known as an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, is generally used to relieve pain from a herniated disc.”
Faith Hill’s scar was alarming to some people, but it sounds like she’s doing really well post surgery. Sources say that she has been recovering nicely, and that she is still doing some physical therapy. According to USA Today , Faith really seemed to be in good spirits, and she enjoyed herself despite her recent surgery. After the show, the duo headed to a couple of after parties , namely the Governors Ball and the Vanity Fair bash. Apparently the two thought about keeping the night going by attending a third, but quickly decided against it.
“We finally just looked at each other and said, ‘You know what, I think it’s bedtime.’ So we turned around and went [to the hotel] and went to bed, but we enjoyed the parties,” said McGraw.
Faith Hill’s scar wasn’t the only thing that people were talking about as she walked the red carpet at the Oscars with her husband, Tim McGraw. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , many scrutinized Tim and Faith’s connection, wondering if there was any truth to those pesky divorce rumors that circulated in 2014. Aside from the couple’s interaction being closely watched, many people also felt as though Tim was looking pretty gaunt. Many have shared fears that something is seriously wrong with the I’m Not Gonna Miss You singer.
