Actress Eva Amurri, the oldest child of Susan Sarandon, married her longtime boyfriend Kyle Martino in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, People magazine reported.
Amurri, 26, and her 30-year-old groom, a former pro soccer player, reportedly chose the historic Southeastern city because Kyle’s parents live there.
“He’s just a very sane, really lovely guy,” Sarandon said of Martino to Us Weekly earlier this year. “His family’s fabulous. He adores her. I mean, you couldn’t ask for anything more.”
According to People, the wedding was hosted by Eva’s Oscar-winning mother, Sarandon, and Tim Robbins – who helped raise Amurri during his 21-year-long relationship with her mother.
Wedding guests enjoyed cocktail party, a scavenger hunt, a casual oyster roast, and a southern-style barbeque rehearsal dinner.
Officiating at the ceremony was Sister Helen Prejean, the nun portrayed by Sarandon in Robbins’ 1995 film “Dead Man Walking.” Amurri, who has since appeared in a handful of films such as “The Banger Sisters” and “Saved!,” had a small role in the movie at the time, playing her mother’s character as a child.
Amurri and Martino, who is now a MLS soccer commentator, announced their engagement in December.
“The most wonderful man on this planet is now my fiance!” Eva tweeted at the time.
