An Elvis Presley hologram using the same technology employed to resurrect Tupac at Coachella is in the works, so sightings of Elvis being attributed to crazy people and aliens may be a thing of the past.
It’s kind of funny that the Elvis Presley hologram- like that of Tupac- is one that is planned for a celebrity whose death was one fans had difficulty accepting. In fact, Elvis is somewhat like Tupac in that no one was ever content to let either performer rest in their supposed graves, weaving conspiracy theories and faked death tales nearly before either artist’s body was even cold.
The Elvis Presley hologram is likely to join another planned and long-dead performer’s digital likeness, and yet another celebrity whose death captivated and intrigued fans- Marilyn Monroe . The company responsible for the Tupac hologram, Digital Domain’s CEO John Textor had this to say about the Elvis Presley hologram:
“Elvis is the most iconic, most recognized performer on the planet, and we are thrilled to have been chosen to bring new performances and original shows where fans can have their own, new experiences of Elvis.”
Elvis Presley Enterprises president and CEO, Jack Soden controls Elvis’ posthumous image, and Soden explained:
“This is a new and exciting way to bring the magic and music of Elvis Presley to life. His lifelong fans will be thrilled all over again and new audiences will discover the electric experience of Elvis the performer.”
